The HSTL is awesome in both concept and history, for which it does not apologize.
Along these lines, the following have or will occur.
I hope this will cement the fact that this league can and will complete season 16.

1. Rod Woodson and GoBlue are co-commishing the league. I have the technology while GoBlue is an excellent combination of resourceful yet not annoying.
2. HSTLphileis online and is self aware. Thus, BigMV finally will be able to log in! Bruddog will be able to upload games! Progress will be made!
3. Man, we should make like 100000 more stickies! That would fix everything!!!11!!! These will be eliminated as quickly as possible
4. hstl.puretecmo.com - The web site has been updated so that it's no longer season 13.
5. The website doesn't actually contain any real information. Given that we have a site like HSTLphile at our disposal, I need to write the code for the site to update itself instead of updating stickies. This will take me a little bit since I'm more of a lover than a coder, but it will be completed. However, it will be as once before....a method to inform you.
6. If you quit because the league is "dead", just un-quit. What do you have to lose?

when is the deadline?

Yah, no kidding. This is becoming kind of ridiculous. I think we really do need a deadline of some sort. Then if people do not finish their games, or to not punish those who are trying, are showing no sense of urgency they are not allowed back next season. Just a thought. Get your games in people!

What needs to happen here:

1. Start playoffs
2. Boot all the flakes
3. Change league to nestopia emulator only
4. Recruit new owners (noobs)
5. Add a couple hacks
6. Cut down league if needed
7. Get a couple commishes to run league (I would do this after playoffs)
8. Begin new season

I agree with just about everything you said there, with exception of the hacks. When I think of the HSTL, I think of originality - in that we play with the 1991 players that we all fell in love with, in addition to the original version of the game. As much as I love the hacks, and all the great things TSB has become, this is one of the only leagues left out there w/out any hacks. I say we kick it old skool on that level.

But I totally agree with the fact that the playoffs need to start. Slackers need to be booted. Newbs recruited. Institute all Nestopia, and/or use of hamachi, because afterall, what does the HSTL stand for. The High Speed Tecmo League. These are the best 2 outlets that we have to fulfill this, and alot of people still do not know about hamachi.

Then after potentially minimizing the amount of owners, I promise there will be a new level of interest and passion in the HSTL.

So we now need new owners for WAS, KC...TB, IND, SD...?? When considering the fact that we may be downsizing the league next seasson, and rather than getting replacements to play somewhat meaningless games, I suggest we just end the regular season. Start the playoffs. Whether it's just a normal 6 team playoff, or if we allow every team to participate, I say they just need to start!

If we were to go to a mass playoff, you could give even a couple of byes to the top teams, and let the other ones fight it out, tournament style.

Either way, this league has got to get moving!

I do agree with odell's idea to begin the playoffs. I think it'd give incentive for owners to play, as well as creating a stepping stone to finishing off the season. There are just too many owner slots to fill with the activity level in the community now.

A fresh start is desperately needed.

Where do we stand here Mr. Rod Woodson? I think we have a lot of strong dedicated owners here still in this league. Let's get rid of this dead weight, finish off this season, start from new w/a less (owners) is more mentality. We will be much better off. This is the HSTL. Let's not let a couple of bad seeds ruin this league for everyone!

i'm available too....never played in a league though, but drafting sounds fun. So i wanna do it. I could probably finish a season here before TSL gets started! lol bahaha.
